System Test Overview

What is a "System Test?"

A System Test is the fastest and simplest way to experience the benefits of Headcount.

It involves adding the minimum amount of data to Headcount to get you started quickly and then testing the app using a mock emergency with you and a couple of your colleagues.

This guide will walk you through it step-by-step from beginning to end.

After completing this guide you will know how to:

  1. Create a user account
  2. Add, remove, and update your emergency roster
  3. Audit your emergency roster before a drill
  4. Start a new emergency event in the app
  5. Account for people in 3 different ways:
    1. In person using the app
    2. Remotely using SMS and email
    3. Scanning badges (optional)
  6. Send messages to individuals and groups
  7. Perform progressive crowdsourcing to find missing people
  8. Send an “All Clear” message and end an emergency
  9. Review your KPI’s in your reports
